About Katie Sanford

I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC # 3627).  I received my Master of Arts Degree in Professional Counseling from Central Michigan University in 2010.

The majority of my clinical experience has been with clients who have gone through trauma.  I have also worked extensively with clients who struggle with anxiety, depression, and relationship concerns.  In my work with Dan Drake and his team, my primary focus is on partners, children, and couples hurt by sex addiction and the related betrayal trauma.

I use a strengths-based approach along with Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy techniques in my work with clients.  I strive to provide clients with a safe place to sort through confusing thoughts and emotions, while simultaneously providing practical tools that can be used to help clients begin to heal.

I am a Christian and able to provide counseling through a Christian perspective, if that is something a client values.  The journey towards healing is never easy, usually messy, but always worth it.
